DAY 5: A PICTURE OF SOMEWHERE YOU'VE BEEN
I've been from the west coast to the east coast and several places in between. Outside of the U.S., I've been to Canada and South Korea. The only pictures I have are mission pictures so I pulled them out for this post today.
I almost forgot how beautiful Korea is! Join me for a short tour of my mission
My 1st area - Jeonju.
I lived in the apartments back on the hill.
View from a bus.
Rice fields.
Another view.
My 2nd area - Yeosu.
(I'm obviously excited to see the ocean.)
Proselyting on the beach.
Beautiful view.
Um.....that whale-looking thing......that's a church.
Sunset from a high-rise apartment.
Terracing.
So peaceful, the farmer decided to take a nap.
Beautiful.
Sunrise January 1, 2008.
(Rather than celebrating New Years the night before,
Korean people wake up early in the morning to
climb the nearest mountain and welcome the first sun.)
The first sun of 2008.
My 3rd area - Gwangju.
(Buddhist temple.)
Won Buddhist temple.
Too many people to visit in one day.
(The typical Korean apartment is very small, so each
building you see has about 80-100 apartments each. Give
or take. Gwangju is one of Korea's 7 Metropolitan cities.)

Korean burial site.
(Cemeteries are few - many people are buried
on their own land. The hump of grass you see in the middle
is a grave. If people don't have land, they're cremated.)
Big city.
Little village.
I'll go back someday.
