This week

We had a really fun week.  Teryn had more action than he's had for a while and he loved it!  He's getting past his "stranger danger" stage and becoming Mr. Social Butterfly.  His grandpa G-man (Tyson's dad, Greg) came to visit on Tuesday and they had a lot of fun together. Friday, I went for a field trip with the After School Club at Ellis Elementary (where I worked before Teryn was born).  Teryn loved all the kids, and he especially enjoyed the bus ride.  Saturday we visited our friends Mark and Penny Beutler in Providence.  They haven't seen Teryn since he was probably 3 or 4 months old, so they loved seeing how he's grown and watching him get in to everything!! They have a Mini Schnauzer and a Yorkie and Teryn had fun crawling around with them.  Today at church he just made his way around to everyone he could- -not a care or fear in the world.  He's quite the charmer.  There's a little posse of baby boys about his age that like to play during our meetings so it's kinda fun.  Then this evening, we went for our first McKenna/Todd family dinner in Hyde Park.  It's a monthly thing that we've always been invited to but we just haven't gone.  Finally, tonight we picked up Brandon and Breanna and all of us went together and we had a great time!  Teryn enjoyed the party.  It's a relief to see him interacting with people so freely now.  I think every mom goes through the baby-mommy-attachment phase and it's a struggle.  I'm grateful it's over!  I love seeing his independence blossom and watching him enjoy the world.

  1. I hear ya on the "stranger danger" phase. Lynli is definitely there right now. She is such a momma's girl.

Is Teryn also a flirt with his new-found social independence?
