It's 3:00 am and I am wide awake. I've needed the window open and a fan blowing to sleep these days and it freezes Tyson out so he is downstairs on the couch, which affords me the opportunity to turn on my lamp and watch my tummy move in the dim light.
Baby girl is due in 12 days! No signs of labor, as per my other two pregnancies, so who knows when she'll actually make her debut. I'm hoping for spontaneous labor but I have a feeling I'll have to be induced like I was with Ryder.
Regardless of when she comes, we are ready for her! We have been showered with so much love and support and baby necessities =0). My friend DaRae Jones threw a shower for me in Provo a few weeks ago. Aside from the generous gifts, I got to see a handful of friends that I haven't seen in years! We spent the afternoon at a park with beautiful weather and good food, playing games and shooting the breeze. It was a perfect day and baby girl received some adorable things!
Then last night my friends Mandy Parsons, Kaycee Anderson, and sis-in-law Breanna threw me a shower here at home. They had a quilt to tie and a little station with headband accessories where guests could create a headband for the baby girl. If that's all we'd done it would have been enough! Seriously, the headbands everyone made are so cute and so priceless since they were made by women who mean so much to me. The food was delicious (Kaycee makes the best fruit pizza!) and the company was enough to make my heart burst with happiness. Several who came have been longtime friends but most of the girls have been friends for only a year (or even less!) and they are gems. I love every single one of them and I'm so grateful for their friendships! And we won't even talk about how they spoiled the baby girl! Almost every gift she received was homemade! I have some incredibly creative and talented friends!
