Halfway

 

Here I am at 20 1/2 weeks!  Yee haw!  My pregnancy is halfway over?  That's crazy!

Only a few things to update on. 

The obvious first: my growing belly.  I feel huge already but I'm grateful for the nice people who still act like they can't even tell.  I love my belly growing and I don't mind pregnancy weight gain- -but when I feel 35 weeks pregnant at only 20, it's nice to know that maybe I don't look that way.

Second: the ever-active baby!  Holy cow, I feel this baby a lot!  And it feels different than it did with Teryn?  I can't explain how, but it does.  It feels more like the first time I've felt a baby move than it did the actual first time I felt a baby move, if that makes sense?  I started feeling it at about 18 weeks and Tyson was able to feel it for the first time last week!  One night when it was consistently moving in the same spot I pulled up my shirt and told Tyson to watch and he SAW it too!  I didn't even feel Teryn until I was 22 weeks along, so it's fun to feel and see this one so small so early.  We'll see what kind of power I'm in for over the next 20 weeks.

Last: food.  Cravings are pretty much obsolete at this point.  Nausea is pretty much obsolete too, but I can feel if I haven't eaten enough carbs.  And I have to be careful with sweets.  If I haven't eaten enough "good" food my stomach will not tolerate sweets.  Other than that, I'm a happy-eating mommy!  Still avoiding cucumbers and bananas.

We are counting down for our doctor appointment next Friday!!  Can't wait until we don't have to call our baby "it" anymore!  It's been interesting to see how Teryn interacts with other babies.  He seems a little jealous and upset if I hold boy babies but he wants to kiss and touch and talk to little girl babies.  I brought a baby doll home from my mom's house and Teryn isn't interested in playing with it, but he seems to know exactly what it is and touches it softly.  It will be a lot of fun to see him become a big brother.
