And The Duedate Is....

We had our first ultrasound today!

As mentioned before, according to my LMP I could have been as far as 12 weeks along today.

I'm not.

The ultrasound says I am 8 weeks along.  Not what I necessarily wanted to hear- -optimistically hoping the 12 week thing was real.  BUT!  Eight weeks along means I'm due when?

FEBRUARY 18th!

Happy birthday to me!!

I actually felt that I would be due mid-February, remember?  I even had a secret feeling I would be due on my birthday.

During the ultrasound I had another secret feeling that this baby is a girl.  

We'll see how right I am with that one =0)

Here are some ultrasound pictures.

It's fun to compare them to the pictures from our first ultrasound with Teryn, since both were taken at 8 weeks.  At 8 weeks Teryn measured 2.34 cm and baby #2 measures 1.97 cm so this one is a little bit smaller but otherwise basically identical.  Both of them even have a little halo =0). 

As for me......

Here I am in all my 8-week glory.  I looked back at my pregnancy pictures with Teryn and I was about this size when I was 12 weeks with him.  Guess I'm well on my way.  Bring on the belly!

I wasn't surprised to find out I'm only at 8 weeks because nausea hit me pretty hard last week and 7 weeks is about the time I started feeling it with Teryn.  Assuming that the nausea will also last as long as it did with Teryn I have the next 4 weeks to look forward to. 

We will go back for another ultrasound on August 10th- -my actual 12 week mark.  Can't wait to see how the little sprout grows by then!
