Tyson and I will celebrate our 2 year anniversary in March and we haven't had a "getaway" since our honeymoon so we decided we would go away before this semester started. We looked online for nearby Bed and Breakfasts and came across the Providence Inn just south of Logan in Providence. It was such a neat little place! So peaceful. It's adjoined to "The Old Rock Church" which is actually a historical landmark in Cache Valley. It's older than the Logan Temple! We stayed just one night but they really took care of us because we were the only ones there! They baked fresh cookies for us and popped some popcorn for us to eat while we watched some movies from their collection. They brought yummy breakfast in bed- -Tyson had french toast and I had an omelet. We will definitely go back! Highly recommended.

As part of our getaway, we went to see "Tangled"- -SUCH a cute movie! We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner- -our favorite! You can never go wrong with roughnecks and roadkill. Then we stopped at Sub Zero for ice cream after dinner- -ever heard of it? It's similar to Cold Stone in that you choose your base and add your mix-ins, but your base starts in liquid form and they freeze it right in front of you with liquid nitrogen! How cool is that?
The great part about the entire getaway was we were virtually alone everywhere we went! There was only one other person in the movie theater, we were the only ones at Sub Zero, and we were the only ones staying at the Providence Inn! Talk about relaxing and forgetting the world.
Except for Teryn. Of course we couldn't forget Teryn! I was looking forward to sleeping in and getting some rest while we were away. Yeah right! As soon as I stirred out of sleep I thought of Teryn and wanted to get home! All you other moms out there know what I'm talking about =0) He was taking his morning nap when we got home so we had to wait a little longer to see him- -oh the excitement! We love our little man!
(Bright eyed and bushy tailed after his nap.)
(And so happy! Ha ha!)
Thanks to Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Michelle for being the Super Babysitters!! Teryn loved it! Come back soon!
And the biggest thanks to Tyson for planning it all and making it so special. I love you babe!
