TERYN'S FIRST CHRISTMAS
Yet another year, we were unable to make it home for Christmas. Last year I couldn't get work off and this year Tyson couldn't. Such is life I suppose, and that's OK. We made a quick trip home the weekend before and it was great to see our families for a few days. Despite our (secret) hopes to be snowed in and kept from traveling for a few extra days, we made it back to Logan just before the Basin got pounded with snow. Tyson worked Christmas Eve night while I stared at the gifts he wrapped that morning. He knows I have a history of peeking, so he made sure I knew how disappointed he would be if I snooped while he was working. I'm proud to say I controlled myself =0) And I'm happy I did- -I was very pleasantly surprised Christmas morning!
He bought me cowboy boots! I love them!
He really spoiled me this year. After making a few trips to the Christmas Tree with gifts, I told him, "I didn't get you that much!" He said, "We have a new rule. Every year you have a baby, I get to spoil you." Too funny! That Tyson- -he's my favorite =0). Among the gifts I gave him were the 'Batman Begins' and 'The Dark Knight' DVDs and George W. Bush's book 'Decision Points.' As long as he has Batman and Bush,
all is well in the world.
Teryn got books, stuffed animals, clothes, more books, more stuffed animals, and more clothes. He didn't quite understand what was going on- -but he had fun watching dad open his presents!

This was my favorite Christmas present =0)

Our mini tree.

We ran out of room under/around the tree. Our small apartment left little room for gifts.

It was a wonderful Christmas day- -a whole new experience as a mother. As I rocked Teryn and hummed "Away in a Manger," I couldn't help but think of that first Christmas night. I can only imagine the love Mary had in her heart as she rocked the babe that would become the Savior of the world. It makes me wonder what's in store for Teryn. I love watching him learn and grow everyday. I look forward to seeing the man he becomes, and I'm going to love him every step of the way.
