BLUE is for BOY!!!
Since our 2nd ultrasound, Tyson and I both felt we were having a boy--so we weren't surprised to see this picture. (It's a view from the bottom, so you're seeing his two legs and what's inbetween =0) Notice the arrows.)
Getting this picture wasn't all that easy. When we started the ultrasound, our little man was curled up in the shape of a "C." His legs were up around his head and he wasn't movin' for nobody (definitely our kid.....and I'm sure that's only the beginning)! The doctor told me, "go to the bathroom.....wiggle around.....dance.....stand on your head....do SOMETHING or we won't get the pictures we want today....." So I went to the bathroom, knelt down and said a little prayer, then stood up and did just what he told me (except the standing on my head thing...I attempted, but knew I would fall over). We tried again after about 5 minutes, and he finally decided to cooperate. The pictures allowed us to see, measure, and hear everything. Unless something happens, we expect a perfect little boy in March!
Some fun details: His feet are the same length as his femur (definitely Tyson's son =0), his heart is beating 154 bpm, he's got a strong 3-prong umbilical cord with great blood flow, he is about 9 inches long (curled up, he's about the size of a soda can), and my placenta is right in the right place to serve as his punching bag--hence, I haven't felt him moving yet. But at the rate he's growing, I'll be feeling him in no time =0)
Here are some of our favorite pictures.
His nose and lips (where the arrow is pointing).
His spine.
His right leg.
His left foot.
As soon as we tried to get 3D ultrasound pictures, he hid (again, he IS Tyson's son =0). So he'll just keep us guessing until he gets here! We can't wait!
Why does that not surprise me that you would have a boy!?! I can just see you a few years down the road wrestling with your little guy :) What a cute mom you are going to be. I am so happy for you!!
