The
TODD Family Christmas Letter
Volume 3: 2012
Dear family and friends,
The year 2012 has been a wonderful one! We just never cease to be amazed at how quickly time passes!
Here is a little synopsis of our year:
In February we welcomed our second son into the world. Ryder Jackson Todd was born February 23rd, weighing in at 8 lbs 1 oz. He is now 10 months old and such a little character! He loves anyone who will give him attention, although he doesn’t like to be held for very long. He is always on the move and into everything! He is standing on his own and will soon be walking which will make him so happy. He is dying to go everywhere his brother goes!
Teryn turned two in March and he is such a great big brother! Just lately he has discovered how fun it is to hector Ryder but 90% of the time he is very sweet and fun with him. He loves the moon and points to it in the sky, repeating “Moon! Moon! Moon!” He also points out anything that looks like a moon, i.e. bananas, smiley faces, etc. He is obsessed with the ABCs and is able to identify every letter. He loves the ABC song and repeats about 20/26 of the letters. He has such a kind and tender heart and although he likes playing with friends, he typically lives happily in his own world independent of everyone.
Tyson is working as hard as ever. He started a new job in September that keeps him much happier than the last. We have time to see him in the mornings which starts the day off on a better foot for everyone. When he’s not working, he’s working. He enjoys spending his spare time helping anyone who needs it. He has been longing for dogs since we got married and his wish finally came true this Christmas. We added two black lab puppies to our family; male brothers, named Durbin and Watson. They are so much fun and we are in heaven!
And this ol’ mom is happy and active as always! I’ve joined the employment ranks at both Utah State University and Duchesne County School District. I also play city league volleyball which satiates my need for social interaction and recreation. The league plays into March but I will probably only last a few more weeks. Back in October I was {pleasantly} surprised with a positive pregnancy test. I am now 18 weeks along with baby #3! We had an appointment on December 21st and were hoping to see what we’re having so we could surprise our families for Christmas (hence the late sending of our Christmas letter- -we were also hoping to include the surprise for all of you!) but the baby was not willing to give up it’s identity just yet! We will return for another appointment on January 11th and maybe (hopefully!!) we will be able to find out then. I am due June 2nd. Surprise!
In other news, we are in the process of closing on our first home! Everything should be complete within the next few weeks and then there are some renovations to be made. After all is said and done, I’m hoping we will be in by March. Our fingers are crossed!
It’s been an exciting year, filled with blessings and memories! Despite the uncertainty that sometimes looms, we are always comforted by the knowledge that our Heavenly Father has a plan and He’s watching over us.
We are looking forward to the upcoming year with anticipation of what’s to come.
May 2013 bring you and yours happiness, joy, and love!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteI loved getting your letter, it made my day! You have a beautiful family and it sounds like everything is going great, which makes me so, so happy. I hope this pregnancy goes easy on you:)
ReplyDeleteFun letter! So if you get a chance you should take before and after pictures of you house as you do work on it. I would love to follow along as you make it your own. It was so fun visiting with you last week, definitely a high-light of our trip. That and Bryn catapulting herself over the back of our pew on Sunday and Bart Miller tossing her back to us. That girl...Love you dani!
