Ryder Jackson!

I can't believe he's already three months old!!  He's growing SO fast!  At three months he:

- Sleeps 12 to 13 hours at night.  Down at 7:00 pm, awake to eat at 5:00 am, and back to sleep until 8:00 am. 

- Is a much different daytime sleeper than his brother was.  (If I remember right) Teryn had fewer longer naps during the day but I've learned that Ryder sleeps more often for shorter periods of time.  He is a one-hour baby.  i.e. He's awake for an hour, then asleep for an hour, then awake for an hour, then asleep for an hour.  He does take one long nap from 1:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon which is the same time Teryn naps so it's a nap party for everyone!

- Is such a smiley boy! 

- Does not like laying down.  He wants to sit up and see the world.  If I lay him in my lap in a semi-laying/semi-sitting up position he grunts and crunches with all his might to sit up. And even if I do sit him up by himself on the couch he still crunches forward and usually ends up tipping over on his face.  Pretty funny.

- Is such a talker!  He tells the sweetest stories.

- Is an aggressive nurser.  We'll leave it at that.

- Has a very hot head!  If he's hungry or tired he lets you know!

- Is kind of a momma's boy.  I love it, but I'm also trying not to facilitate it too much.

- Loves to sleep with a blanket over his face.  Teryn was the same way- -as soon as he was able to grab things the way he wanted to he would pull his blanket over his face so he was completely covered.  I started covering Ryder the same way and he loves it!

- Is so rigid and strong.  He arches his back and it makes it hard/awkward to hold and cuddle him.

- Does not like sleeping anywhere but his crib.  It's great 90% of the time when we're home, but the other 10% of the time we spend elsewhere is kind of rough.  He won't even sleep in the car. 
- Loves to watch his big brother play.

- Knows Tyson's, Teryn's, and my voice and he looks to find us wherever he hears us.

- Is SUCH a stinkin' cute little bundle of JOY!!  I want ten more just like him!!!
