This week was a big week in the Todd household. 5 reasons are worth mentioning.
- Teryn just randomly decided he doesn't want his binky anymore! Last Sunday I tried to give it to him at church, hoping it would help him fall asleep, and he didn't want anything to do with it. That night he didn't want it either....or Monday, or Tuesday, or the rest of the week! I'll probably still keep one handy, but I think it's time to put his binkies away!
- Teryn ate and slept SO MUCH BETTER THIS WEEK!!!!! Really, thanks to those of you who shared your thoughts and suggestions. The week started out with a really long night of just letting him cry and fight his nighttime hunger, but it all got better from there. He's eating so much more during the day- -for example, Thursday he ate a whole banana and cereal for breakfast, 2 corn dogs and fruit for lunch, and 1 1/2 slices of pizza and corn for dinner! (Not the best choices for a 1 year old, I know- -but he was loving it!! He doesn't enjoy all the natural, whole, healthy stuff so much but we do what we can.) With all the food and sleep he got this week, he is such a happy baby! We are loving life.
- Tyson got off his crutches on Wednesday!! YAY YAY YAY!!! He still keeps one handy for those long days of walking, but he's able to put all his weight on his leg again and it's a wonderful thing. I think him being able to hold and carry Teryn is another thing that has made Teryn so happy this week.
- I went to the Justin Bieber movie. Yes, I admit it. What's more to admit is, I enjoyed it. I loved it, actually. I am officially a fan. He is incredibly talented, surprisingly sweet and respectful, genuinely kind, and considerably good looking =0) You're looking at a woman who has never read a Harry Potter book, nor seen a Harry Potter movie. Same with the Twilight Saga. I just don't have any desire to follow society and all it's hype. When the world started talking about Justin Bieber, I had no mind for him.....but then I started seeing him on talk shows and hearing his music now and then and I got curious and gave in. Mostly because of his musical talents at such a young age, and without lessons!! If I ever get a chance, I will definitely go to one of his concerts....wearing purple.
- Lastly, Tyson and I got new phones. I've had my phone since I returned from my mission (2 1/2 years) and it finally gave out on me Thursday. Coincidentally, 2 Brothers Communications up here in Logan was giving away free phones Friday and Saturday! Tyson's phone is pretty new and still works really well, but while we had a chance we figured it wouldn't hurt to get him a new phone too. We still haven't moved up into the "Smart Phone" world- -but we're happy with these guys for the time being. New phones are always fun =0)
If I have any advise for you it would be to throw the binkies away...do not keep one handy LOL if he's done well without it so far don't give it back to him! Hadley is now 2 and a half and it was a night mare getting it away from her!
