Day 24

DAY 24: MAKE A PLAYLIST TO SOMEONE AND EXPLAIN WHY YOU CHOSE ALL THE SONGS

I would like to make my playlist for my parents. There are a few songs that make me think of them every time they play. The reasons they remind me of my parents are pretty self explanatory.

(Click to hear the song)

My Little Girl by Tim McGraw (Dad)

Mama's Song by Carrie Underwood (Mom)

Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle (Dad)

In My Daughter’s Eyes by Martina McBride (Mom)

I Loved Her First by Heartland (Dad)

Wind beneath my wings by Bette Midler (Mom)

My dad is one of my favorite people in the world. I didn't appreciate him so much when I was younger, but my eyes were really opened to what he means to me when I had my own child. He was my first love. He taught me how to dance. He let me win our wrestling matches. He taught me what hard work and self reliance mean. He has a humor unlike any other. He wants nothing more than my safety, success, and happiness. He will always be my daddy, and I will always be his little girl.

My mom is one of the most caring women I know. She is always there to reach out and love and serve those around her. She always has time for me - -always. She has ever been there to hear about my life and guide me with her wisdom and encouragement. I know she has a love for me that I have yet to comprehend. I wish I had a penny for every prayer she has offered on my behalf. Her prayers are the reason I'm where I am today. She is my hero.
