DAY 13: A BAND OR ARTIST THAT HAS GOTTEN YOU THROUGH SOME TOUGH DAYS (write a letter)
Dear Amy Lee,
I want you to know that your music has helped me through the tough times in my life. Your lyrics are so deep and you sing with such passion. I feel I can understand you, and you understand me. Your voice is beautiful and unlike any other. If I ever have energy or emotion that I need to release, I play your music and sing/scream at the top of my lungs. There is also something captivating about your piano playing. And the guitars- -love them. I never have to skip past a song because I like it less than the rest--I love every one of them. I love that you're different. I especially appreciate that you portray your feelings of anger and frustration without using foul language. Your use of words is so much more creative and complicated. I think yours is the only "hard" music I listen to because of that, and I'm grateful I have something "hard" and "dark", but not evil, to help me fight through those tough days. You are definitely the "bad girl" inside of me. I've loved you since high school, and I think you'll be one of my few timeless artists.

So here is my dorky comment! I LOVE your posts each day, I truly look forward to reading them each night! THANK YOU! You have given me a lot to think about and some good insight. Also, thanks for the list of songs on today's post! I forgot how much I love the song Broken! It was one of my favorites in high school! You rock by the way, and I miss you! :)
